Biography:
An alumnus of Royal College Colombo, Prathaban obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in American College India. Turning to marketing as a career immediately upon his return to the country, he joined the fledgling Emerchemie as a product specialist in 2002 and has climbed rapidly up the management ladder. He honed his marketing credentials with an MBA from the ICFAI University, India in 2010. Handpicked to lead Emerchemie from a very early age, he was appointed to the board in 2012 and took the helm as Managing Director in 2016. He was further elevated as the Deputy Chairman/ Group CEO in 2023, overlooking the spectrum of activities at Emerchemie NB and Emergen Lifesciences.

Sanjiva had his primary and secondary education at Mahanama College, Colombo 03 . He had obtained his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the American University of Asia’s campus which is affiliated to University of Houston Clear Lake Texas. He is a fellow member of Chartered Professional Managers (FCMA). He counts over 30 years of industry experience where he held many positions prior to his board appointment in the year 2000. Presently he holds the position of Executive Director of George Steuart Health which is a subsidiary of the oldest mercantile establishment in Sri Lanka George Steuart & Co Ltd - established in 1835.

Jude is the Managing Director of Hemas Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka. An Accountant by profession, Jude holds an MBA from the University of Wales and is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (UK), a Fellow Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (UK) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). He has also completed the Executive Leadership Development programs at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and INSEAD. He counts over 28 years of experience in senior managerial roles in diverse industries such as FMCG, Dairy, Food, Distribution, Insurance and Pharmaceutical including Director/ CEO positions.

Sirimal Ranjith Fernando is an accomplished professional with a strong background in both the scientific and business fields. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Bio Science and an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Colombo, alongside an MSc in Business Psychology from Coventry University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia. With over 30 years of experience, Fernando has held significant roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including 26 years at Astron Limited, where he currently serves as Director/CEO. He has also contributed to professional associations, serving as President of the Sri Lanka Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association (2018-2020) and holding various leadership positions in the Sri Lanka Chamber of Pharmaceutical Industry and other advisory committees. His extensive expertise has made him a prominent figure in Sri Lanka's pharmaceutical sector.
